I recently heard a whiny country song while listening to our multi-genre public radio station. It inspired me to try writing a spoof of a country song. Following the adage, “Write what you know”, the words “I’ll use my physics to put a move on you” came to mind.
After working on it for a while, i accepted the fact that the result is not actually a country spoof. It probably wouldn’t be even if i sang it with an acceptable whine. With luck, it will be a sui generis — one of a kind.
Well, i guess they all can’t be gems.
