Pono ABD6 Guilele

I think i  bought my baritone-size Pono guilele mostly because i missed the flurocarbon stringed Romero Creations baritone guilele that i had had, but sold (Molasses).  I also liked the idea of a baritone size instrument that could be tuned and played like a guitar.  The videos suggested a quality sounding instrument, and i really like my Pono 0-size guitar.

I haven’t played it enough to be completely comfortable with the very short 20″ scale, but i think that i can get there with practice.  But frankly, had i experimented sufficiently with the middle-four tuning on my Kala baritone uke before buying this, i probably wouldn’t have, because it wasn’t cheap (like the Kala), and the tone is not any better to my ear than the Kala.  (Though it’s better than the small steel-string Pono UL6-30 that i had briefly.)  Its future is still up in the air.
