I really like Splash, my Martin 000-18GE; it is my favorite guitar, tone-wise. However, i have long been drawn to smaller guitars, so when i saw a used Martin 0-18 for sale, i decided to buy it, hoping that its tone would be comparable to Splash, but in a smaller configuration. My hope was realized. Its tone is not quite up to that of Splash, but it is close. Hence, Junior (as i named it) has become one of my favorite guitars — the one i reach for most commonly in practice and song writing. I really like the mellowness of the spruce/mahogany wood combination.
