I had more trouble writing this song than any other. I got the idea well over a year before i finished it (remembering the title of a book from years back, Real Men Don’t Eat Quiche), but the structure gave me trouble with the lyrics, and i couldn’t come with an acceptable melody. I put it aside for a long time, coming back to it several times, without success. Finally, i shortened the verses from 6 lines to four, and it began to gel. It’s not one of my best, but it is now acceptable.
