After listening to Dylan’s version of “Blowing in the Wind” and cringing (because i was used to Peter, Paul, and Mary’s version), for years i avoided listening to Dylan’s singing. The first song of his that i thought he did a pretty good job on was “Lay, Lady, Lay”. (After that i began to listen to him more frequently, and subsequently learned to accept his singing. I’d always like his lyrics.)
Anyway, this is a parody of “Lay, Lady, Lay”, about Trump’s propensity to lie to our citizens, and more recently, to spout fascist rhetoric. Probably too political to be used in BobFest.
