Our 8th Annual BobFest occurred near the end of May 2021 — live again, though outside. For the Parodylan i chose the melody of “My Back Pages”. I was thinking about all the conspirators that we seem to have now, and the lines “Our fools were somewhat smarter then; they’re dumber than that now” came to mind — hence the choice of Dylan song. I later changed “fools” to “kooks”. I’m pretty happy with the final lyrics; i think it’s one of my best. It’s not truly a parody — more a song that uses an pre-existing melody.
