This was the first full set of lyrics that i wrote. I’ve always liked the tune “Greensleeves”, but thought the lyrics rather uninteresting. So, when i decided to write the lyrics for a complete song, i chose it for the melody. Initially, i wrote only two verses. A few years later i wrote another verse to reflect my opinion that overpopulation is the primary cause of our environmental problems. I inserted that verse between the other two to get the complete song.
